This acrylic painting was created with the intention to describe how different species and variations within species develop in nature. As part of a time-lapse project, The Power of Evolution explains the evolution and placement of stickleback fish within the food chain from the start of life on Earth as tiny microorganisms, to plants, to small animals, to finally the varying species that exist today. By understanding the intricate interwoven structure of life on Earth, I hope this artwork encourages people to feel more appreciative and driven to protect our ecocystems and animals.
