In this painting, I was searching for balance within myself and the natural world we live in and was inspired by the quote: “In order to bring peace to the Earth, strive to make your own life peaceful.” The Yin-Yang symbol represents the necessary energetic duality to maintain balance in our world. The interconnectedness of opposite forces reminds us to embrace both the good and bad, the dark and light, as one cannot exist without the other. We also must find the balance between human needs/desires and the preservation of our planets. If we allow Mother Nature the opportunity to heal, She will restore life within her forests and oceans. The original painting was selected as a finalist to be displayed in the University of Central Florida’s Burnett’s Honors College Computer Lab.
These 4" x 4" prints can be embellished with gold ink or kept authentic to the painting. Each print will be placed in a 8" x 8" mat inside a plastic sleeve.
